#397Noise Stratified Layers

A particle's altitude selects, through mix(), between two velocity fields: a churning high-frequency curl turbulence near the ground and a smooth low-frequency laminar wind aloft, so the flow visibly stratifies into weather layers — roiling below, gliding in sheets above. Drag to set the wind strength, press to blow an updraft that lifts grains between the layers; colour reads altitude from ember low to sky-blue high.
