#324Mirror Ball Disco
A faceted mirror ball turns at the centre of a dark club, but the room is the star: from the ball, a fan of radial light beams rakes across the ceiling in coloured gels. Each beam is anchored to a facet slot that rotates with the ball; whenever a slot swings to face the fixed key light it fires — an angular gaussian streak thrown outward from the ball, fading volumetrically into the haze. As the ball spins, the whole fan sweeps the room, beams igniting and dying as their facets catch and lose the light, twinkling as they go. The ball itself sits small at the hub, its facets catching hard glints. Move the pointer to swing the ball and the key light; press to flood the room brighter.
