Two or three mirror-bright metaballs are sphere-traced out of empty space and fused by a wide-k smooth-minimum, so surface tension keeps every join glassy and seamless. A central-difference normal reflects a view ray into an inline chrome matcap — a bright cool sky overhead fading to a near-black floor below — layered with a fresnel rim and sharp additive glints, for a heavy liquid-mercury look. The blobs breathe, drift and periodically bead into one; hover to drag a blob, press to coalesce them all, scroll to orbit the camera.
