#530Topographic Ghost

Thin glowing contour lines on a dark field, breathing slowly — apparently a flat animated topo map. The lines are actually iso-bands evaluated on the surface of a floating 3D fbm relief, raymarched under an orthographic camera. Act one looks straight down: parallel ortho rays make it indistinguishable from a 2D line drawing. The reveal keeps the projection orthographic but tilts the elevation from 90 to about 35 degrees, so the contours separate in depth, foreshorten and self-occlude — the map becomes terrain — before the view tilts back to plan and re-seals. Pointer warps the relief gently; scroll rotates the heading. On the sketch’s own page, drag to tilt and spin the terrain yourself — perform the reveal by hand — and it springs back to plan view on release.
