#498Bokeh Fleet Nightscape
A spaceport at night, seen through a fast lens that never quite holds focus. Thousands of pad lights, tower beacons and neon signs hang through the depth of the scene, and a handful of ships cruise their lanes between them — every light rendered as a bokeh disc whose size is its distance from the focus plane, with a six-bladed aperture that turns each defocused point into a glowing hexagon with a bright catadioptric rim. The focus racks slowly through the port, so waves of lights snap into hard points and swell back into soft hexes, near layers and far layers trading sharpness as the camera drifts. Hover to rack focus by hand with the pointer’s height, and press to open the aperture wide while the fleet throttles up — the whole port dissolves into drifting hexagons.
