#429Polar Spiral Text

Type marching along a logarithmic spiral: the plane is read in log-polar coordinates, where a shear of the angle against the log-radius turns a square grid of glyphs into an arm winding out from the centre. Because equal steps in log-radius are equal ratios in radius, each successive column of letters is drawn larger than the last, so the word swells as it spirals outward from a bright hot core to the rim. The arm rotates slowly on its own and the columns stream along it; the hue cycles from cyan to the fg tint down the arm and thin filaments trace the winding seam. The cursor steers the spiral — nudging its centre and skewing the wind — while it drifts autonomously when the pointer is away; scrolling tightens the coil and adds spin, and holding a press throws the whole procession into a faster march.
