A 90s SF-movie title in solid beveled chrome. The word is drawn to a glyph atlas whose coverage becomes a height field — a smoothed edge band gives every letter a chamfered wall, and the gradient of that field is the surface normal. The raised top face is a blue-steel chrome matcap (a pseudo-studio environment sampled by the reflection), while the bevel walls fall to a darker gold-steel metal; a bright specular highlight travels across the letters as they slowly shear and scroll through the frame. The pointer tilts the studio lighting; scrolling drives the horizontal travel.
