A perpetual fall down the inside of a kaleidoscope — a real 3D one. Every point the ray tests is folded through a mirror-and-rotate eight times before it is measured, so the whole space is tiled by symmetry into a crystal that closes over you. The fold spacing and the rotation angles drift on slow clocks, and every so often a reshuffle pulse snaps through, so the structure keeps reorganising between a clean symmetric lattice and a chaotic thicket of glassy spikes. You are always falling: the fractal scrolls endlessly upward past the view while it rolls. Colour is painted by the orbit trap — how close each folded orbit swings past the origin — so the ridges glow along their symmetry seams.
