A portal ring holding open a corridor of its own reflections. Every frame, the interior of the gate shows the previous frame shrunk and rotated — Droste feedback — so the iris recedes as an endless cascade of rings corkscrewing into the dark. Each ring crossed rotates the hue one notch, so the tunnel runs the whole spectrum on its way down, and the red, green and blue channels are pulled inward at slightly different rates so every rim frays into spectral fringes. Nine chevron studs ride the breathing gate.
