#484Diffraction Cathedral
A cathedral nave that repeats to the edge of the frame, its columns and vaults cut as dark silhouettes — but the clerestory windows are diffraction gratings. Every shaft of sunlight that drops through the vault is fanned into its spectrum on entry, so the nave fills with wide volumetric god rays that arrive white at the glass and land as rainbows, each pool of colour creeping along the floor as the sun crawls across the sky. Dust motes drift and flare inside the beams, and the columns eclipse each shaft in turn so the spectra wink in and out as they sweep. Hover to drag the sun and rake the beams yourself, scroll to walk down the nave, and press to flare the glass into full radiance.
