A celestial star map: fixed constellations — a dipper, the W of Cassiopeia, a cross, a kite and a hunter — drawn as connected star patterns over a twinkling field, the whole rigid sky wheeling slowly on the celestial pole above faint ecliptic and grid lines. Bright sparks continuously trace each figure line into being; scroll turns the sky, the cursor lifts the nearest constellation out of the field, and pressing reveals every figure line at full glow at once.
