A single letter races along a figure-eight orbit trailing dozens of after-images, each older echo dimmer and shifted further around the colour wheel, additively blended into a comet of type. Instead of a real history buffer this fakes the ping-pong trail analytically — a bounded loop resamples the glyph at delayed points along its known path. A slow beat pumps the whole comet: it gathers tight, then EXPLODES (the trail suddenly lengthens and the tail flings outward into a chromatic fan) before recollapsing to gather again. The pointer grabs the orbit and steers it, a held press detonates a burst on demand, and scrolling spins the flight path.
