#359Membrane Diffusion

A clean textbook cross-section of a phospholipid bilayer — two rows of lipid heads with hatched tails — dividing two compartments. Teal solute particles random-walk on both sides and slip through channel proteins to diffuse down the concentration gradient toward equilibrium before the gradient resets, while osmosis bows the membrane toward the dilute side. The pointer sets the gradient, scroll raises the temperature (walk speed), and a press switches on the purple pump that drives orange cargo up-gradient by active transport.
