#321Chrome Sphere Matcap

A single smooth mirror ball hangs at the centre of a procedural photo studio and slowly turns. Each view ray is analytically intersected with the sphere; the reflection vector is spun by the ball rotation and sampled against an inline pseudo-environment — a soft bright overhead light band, a dark floor and horizon, a cool/warm side split, and one or two razor-sharp rectangular window panels. As the ball rotates those windows glide across its skin as travelling glints, a Schlick fresnel paints a cool grazing rim, and a key light adds a tight specular star. Move the pointer to tilt and relight the studio; press to sharpen the specular into a hard highlight.
