The canonical Floyd-Steinberg error-diffusion dither, solved on a GPU ping-pong field by iterative relaxation: every texel re-quantises a slowly drifting tonal gradient and gathers the residual error its causal neighbours push with the classic 7/3/5/1 weights, converging to the familiar serpentine grain. Press over the tile to pour in brightness and watch the dither reflow.
