Space is repeated on a lattice so an endless field of asteroids streams past — near ones loom huge with fast parallax, far ones shrink into a dense swarm — each rock lumpy with cratered noise, rotating on its own axis and lit by a warm off-screen sun over a cool ambient fill and a hint of dust. It flies forward on its own, banking gently; scroll opens the throttle, the cursor steers the heading, and a press throws the brakes for a jolt.
